October illuminates the struggle of the peoples, socialism is a necessity of our times
The Communist Party and Front of Communist Youth organized a massive meeting and march on Colosseum Square of Rome. Dedicated to the centenary of the October Revolution, the event promoted communism as the only real alternative against capitalist barbarity. With the participation of thousands of people, city of Rome was decorated with red flags.
Communist youth organizations of Turkey and Greece met in Izmir, Turkey to discuss the problems of young workers in both countries and shared their experiences. The success of the October Revolution and the lessons drawn from the Bolsheviks enhanced the discussion.
The Communist Party of Turkey and the Communist Youth of Turkey gathered thousands of people in Izmir for an event dedicated to the anniversaries of the Great October Socialist Revolution and the foundation of the Republic of Turkey.
An international event among Communist Youth Organizations took place during the 19. World Festival of the Youth and Students in Sochi. 36 organizations coming from 32 countries attended the jubilant meeting dedicated to the centenary of the October Revolution.
On the last day of the 19th WFYS, struggle against imperialism was underlined. Festival finished with an enthusiastic closing meeting which was directed by the World Federation of Democratic Youth.
Speeches and events kept on going on the fifth day of the World Festival of Youth and Students (WFYS). Reserved for one continent each day, the topic of the discussion program for the fifth day was Asia-Pacific.
On the fourth day of the festival, participants discussed the Middle East and imperialism. A simulated international anti-imperialist court was held as the World Festival of Youth and Students left its fourth day behind.
Festival continued with the day reserved to Africa. A demonstration took place in the festival area for protesting the absence of the flag of Palestine despite the presence of the flag of Israel.
The 19th WFYS took off with the anti-imperialist parade of the WFDY organizations and continued with political seminars.
