The first day of the 19th WFYS passed behind with different activities attended by thousands of young people. The centenary of the October Revolution has been the main reference of the speeches in the conference sessions.
The 19th WFYS is about to launch. With the occasion of the centenary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, the festival is held in Russia.
The 43rd Odigitis Festival, organized by the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE), was attended by more than 250 thousands of people and dozens of communist youth organizations from other countries. This year’s festival was dedicated to October Revolution.
FGC’s summer camp was held in Roccella Ionica on the first week of August. A mass mobilisation to be held at the centenary of the October Revolution was declared during the camp.
The 4th summer camp of the Collectives of Communist Youth was held between 10-13 August in Zaragoza. The main theme of this year’s camp was the centenary of the October Revolution.
On the great political rally carried out in Ioannina on Saturday, Dimitris Koutsoumpas said, “To honour October, means first of all to fight today under the same flag, that of socialism-communism, until its final victory.”
The events of the 43rd Festival of KNE and its journal “Odigitis”, which is the largest political-cultural event in Greece, began in Piraeus on June 24. This year the Festival is dedicated to the October Revolution.

This year the KNE-Odigitis Festival will honour the centenary of the Great Socialist October Revolution. The 43rd Odigitis Festival will take place throughout Greece this summer, ending with the large festivals in Thessaloniki and Athens on September.
The Communist Youth of Turkey (TKG) has organized a football tournament in the name of Metin Kurt, a legendary progressist football player. The participants also referred to the centenary of the October Revolution.
