The Communist Party and Front of Communist Youth organized a massive meeting and march on Colosseum Square of Rome. Dedicated to the centenary of the October Revolution, the event promoted communism as the only real alternative against capitalist barbarity. With the participation of thousands of people, city of Rome was decorated with red flags.
Communist youth organizations of Turkey and Greece met in Izmir, Turkey to discuss the problems of young workers in both countries and shared their experiences. The success of the October Revolution and the lessons drawn from the Bolsheviks enhanced the discussion.

The 43rd Odigitis Festival, organized by the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE), was attended by more than 250 thousands of people and dozens of communist youth organizations from other countries. This year’s festival was dedicated to October Revolution.
FGC’s summer camp was held in Roccella Ionica on the first week of August. A mass mobilisation to be held at the centenary of the October Revolution was declared during the camp.
The 4th summer camp of the Collectives of Communist Youth was held between 10-13 August in Zaragoza. The main theme of this year’s camp was the centenary of the October Revolution.
On the great political rally carried out in Ioannina on Saturday, Dimitris Koutsoumpas said, “To honour October, means first of all to fight today under the same flag, that of socialism-communism, until its final victory.”
The events of the 43rd Festival of KNE and its journal “Odigitis”, which is the largest political-cultural event in Greece, began in Piraeus on June 24. This year the Festival is dedicated to the October Revolution.
